We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative who will find new leads and create lasting customer relationships in their territory with a potential for nationwide activities. They will be resilient, not deterred by rejection and have a high drive with, ideally, 3 to 5 years experience in outside sales, especifically cold calling. This Outside Sales Reps will work to increase sales from outside sources and build and maintain customer relationships through phone calls (including cold calling), emails and in person meetings.

LFA Machines is a fast-growing and family-owned company that manufactures and distributes machinery and accessories for the nutraceutical and confectionary industries. Some of our most popular products are tablet presses, excipients and capsule fillers, but you don’t need to have heard of this before. Although it’s beneficial to have experience in these industries, we are happy to train the right person. You will need to be ready for a hands-on challenge and passionate to always keep learning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Generating leads through calling (including cold calling) and emailing.
  • On-site visits to current and prospective customers.
  • Increasing sales for LFA products and services as well as increasing the quantity of customers, and sales’ value and recurrence.
  • Following the Sales Playbook.
  • Closing recurring business.
  • Building and strengthening customer relations through e.g. on site visits, tradeshow appointments.
  • Collaborating with other departments (internal sales, customer support…) to assist current and prospective customers and the sales process.
  • Update and make notes on the CRM as well as follow the required steps to move the sale to completion.
  • Travel requirement: This position will require a home office and a travel requirement of 50% inside your state or nearby states and, at times, nationwide.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience in sales and cold calling
  • Experience as an outside sales representative desired
  • Resilience, persistence and high drive
  • Have a driver’s license and their own their own vehicle (there will be mileage reimbursement for company related trips and journeys)
  • Self starter with a track record of success in adverse scenarios
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent Networking skills and capacity to maintain business relationships
  • Be part of an industry association like the NPA or awards/certifications from industry organizations desirable
  • Background in sales in the following industries desirable: food, tableting and encapsulation, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, medical

Compensation: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 a year base salary plus uncapped commission paid as bonus.
