Trade Show and Event Coordinator

We are looking for a Trade Show and Event Coordinator at Operio to manage the organization and preparation of all trade shows where we or our brands participate, and find new opportunities to attend or exhibit. They will join our small but driven marketing team, reporting to the Director of Marketing. They will be a key team member in maximizing the return on investment in events and brand awareness.

They will also plan other events such as meetings, team events, and our annual company trip where we meet each other and have fun!

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing the event project plans for each trade show across all Operio Group companies.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to define the strategy and event requirements.
  • Confirming event details, planning the layout, and liaising with vendors to determine their booth requirements.
  • Managing the booking and registration of our team for events.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation logistics, administration, and bookings.
  • Work with marketing to promote the show through marketing channels such as social media, email, and advertising campaigns.
  • Coordinating the logistical requirements such as equipment rentals, and catering services.
  • Continually evaluate trade show processes for opportunities to streamline and simplify.
  • Maintain documentation on all trade show and committee meeting workflows and processes.
  • Secure all needed on-site resources for events through event organizers and vendors.
  • Coordinate with our logistics team for all pre- and post-event shipping.
  • Researching potential show opportunities to exhibit and walk.
  • Review sponsorship opportunities for strengthening brand awareness at trade shows.
  • Driving the organization of the annual team trip in a US resort
  • Assisting and supporting in the organization and planning of community events within Operio, as the event planning expert of Operio.

About You

  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience in event management, including trade show organization
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great negotiator and researcher
  • Can demonstrate ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects
  • Be proactive and take initiative

Salary range: 45 to 50k/year.
